Support the management of critical upstream assets while helping protect and maximize valuable leasehold interests. This role offers broad exposure to land administration, ownership reporting, acquisitions and divestitures, and cross-functional collaboration supporting both onshore and offshore operations.
A global energy organization is seeking a Land Analyst to provide analytical and administrative support for its exploration and production assets. The Land Analyst will play an important role in maintaining land records, monitoring contractual obligations, supporting development activities, and ensuring the integrity of land-related data across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain land records, lease inventories, ownership data, and contractual obligations for assigned assets.
- Monitor lease maintenance requirements, rental obligations, drilling commitments, continuous development provisions, and expiration dates to preserve Company land rights.
- Prepare and maintain rental, renewal, and lease expiration schedules while coordinating recommendations with Land and Asset teams.
- Coordinate with Finance and Treasury to support timely payments, billing reconciliations, and partner invoicing.
- Review and maintain oil and gas leases, title documents, title opinions, division orders, joint operating agreements, and other land-related records.
- Assist in determining ownership interests, working interests, and revenue interests supporting drilling and development activities.
- Support regulatory filings and reporting requirements with applicable federal, state, and offshore regulatory agencies.
- Generate land reports and analyses for management, operations, business development, and joint venture partners.
- Support acquisitions, divestitures, lease sales, due diligence activities, and special land projects.
- Coordinate with Land, Legal, Operations, and external stakeholders to resolve ownership, contractual, and administrative issues.
- Maintain data integrity within LandVantage or other land management systems and related databases.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of oil and gas land, land administration, or land analyst experience.
- Experience supporting onshore shale or unconventional resource development; offshore Gulf of America experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of oil and gas leases, title documentation, ownership reporting, lease maintenance, and land administration practices.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, divestitures, due diligence projects, and other land-related transactions.
- Experience with LandVantage or similar land management software is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Management, Petroleum Land Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
