The Maintenance Planner will join the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling team supporting a diverse portfolio of utility-scale wind, solar, battery energy storage, and distributed generation facilities. Working alongside Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Technical Services, this role leads the onboarding of new plants into SAP S/4HANA, develops maintenance strategies, optimizes work management processes, and improves asset reliability across the renewable energy fleet.
Responsibilities
- Lead onboarding of new renewable energy plants into SAP S/4HANA, including configuration of Maintenance Items, Maintenance Plans, preventive maintenance schedules, workflows, and plant data.
- Develop detailed maintenance work plans by assessing labor, equipment, and material requirements to optimize resource allocation.
- Coordinate planned and emergent maintenance schedules with field operations to minimize operational disruptions.
- Configure and maintain Annual Maintenance Plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), equipment hierarchies, SAP Variants, and plant structures.
- Analyze maintenance history, work management data, and operational trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and fleetwide standardization.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, forecasts, variance reports, and maintenance performance metrics that improve planning accuracy and asset reliability.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity within SAP S/4HANA, including equipment history, maintenance records, inventory data, and user inputs.
- Support Engineering Change implementation while partnering with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Technical Services.
- Deliver training on SAP S/4HANA work management processes, maintenance planning strategies, and scheduling best practices.
- Prepare reports, risk assessments, and planning updates while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across utility-scale wind, solar, battery storage, and distributed generation operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Five or more years of operations, maintenance planning, maintenance scheduling, or related experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience onboarding new facilities into SAP S/4HANA or a similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
- Experience configuring Maintenance Items, Maintenance Plans, preventive maintenance schedules, workflows, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and plant hierarchies.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Ability to develop outage schedules and comprehensive maintenance plans.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with MS Project, Power BI, Mirata, or similar scheduling and reporting tools is preferred.
- Experience supporting utility-scale wind, solar, battery energy storage, or distributed generation assets is preferred.
- Ability to travel 5–10% as needed.
