The Senior Credit Analyst will manage critical components of the end-to-end credit-to-cash lifecycle, combining sophisticated credit risk analysis with hands-on cash and accounts receivable operations. This role will evaluate financial statements, establish credit risk ratings and limits, manage a global portfolio, and execute high-accuracy cash application and reconciliation activities in SAP. Working across Sales, Treasury, Finance, Accounting, and global business teams, the Senior Credit Analyst will help mitigate financial risk, improve liquidity, and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer financial statements, credit reports, and payment trends to establish credit risk ratings and limits.
- Monitor credit limits, credit insurance coverage, customer exposure, and portfolio risk.
- Manage SAP blocked-order workflows using VKM1 and evaluate orders for release or escalation.
- Maintain compliance with Asset-Backed Securitization requirements, customer classifications, and payment terms.
- Lead Letter of Credit processes and coordinate with banking partners.
- Apply global ACH, wire, and check payments accurately within SAP.
- Investigate short payments, deductions, credits, unapplied cash, and other account discrepancies.
- Lead monthly collection reviews and execute weekly SAP dunning cycles using F150.
- Perform AR accounting reconciliations and support internal, external, and ABS audits.
- Publish weekly global and regional collections and sales reporting for senior leadership.
- Partner with Sales, Treasury, Finance, Accounting, IT, banking institutions, and credit insurance providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; manufacturing, oil and gas, energy, or chemical industry experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with SAP FI and FI-AR required.
- Expert knowledge of SAP transactions including F-28, F-32, FD32/F.31, F150, and VKM1.
- Understanding of SAP SD/FI integration, including VA03 and VF03.
- Experience analyzing and spreading financial statements to establish credit limits and risk ratings.
- Experience with cash application, AR reconciliation, collections, credit risk, and portfolio management.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, PivotTables, and large data sets.
- Experience with credit insurance, ABS, Letters of Credit, or trade finance preferred.
- MBA or CPCP, CICP, CMA, or comparable professional certification preferred.
- Professional English fluency required; Spanish or German proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Houston, TX.
