Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Communications Specialist for our client's Low Carbon Technologies team. Join a dynamic Corporate Communications organization and play a pivotal role in supporting the Sustainable Development and Government Affairs Communications team. As the Communications Specialist, you will be integral in implementing both internal and external communications strategies to further the organization's business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Implement communications plans and tactics to support the objectives of the Low Carbon Technologies organization.
- Develop compelling content for various internal and external communication channels, including emails, the company's intranet, presentations, and videos.
- Assist in crafting key messages, talking points, and presentations for external communications activities.
- Prepare draft materials and presentations for approval for low-carbon and sustainability-related speaking engagements and industry events.
- Maintain and organize a repository for Low Carbon Technologies communications products.
- Conduct subject matter interviews to develop internal communications stories and related products.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director, Sustainability and Government Affairs Communications.
Qualifications:
Basic/Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a relevant field.
- 5+ years of communications experience in a PR agency or consultancy, state/federal government, or adjacent energy sector.
- Experience managing and resolving complex new energies public affairs issues.
- Demonstrated passion for low carbon technologies and new energies.
- Understanding of organizational change management practices.
- Strong communication, planning, organization, and execution skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Superior research, writing, and editing abilities.
- Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities within tight deadlines.
- Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with regular change.
