Direct Hire | Nationwide Territory | 50%+ Travel | Uncapped Commission
Turn established oil and gas relationships into a national sales territory with plenty of room to grow. This opportunity is designed for a true technical sales hunter who already knows the operators, automation companies, and oilfield distributors across major U.S. basins and wants the autonomy to turn those relationships into new business. Represent a growing portfolio of pressure instrumentation, wireless load cells, and remote monitoring technology; open accounts, run field trials, and take opportunities from the first conversation through approved vendor status and repeat orders.
The Technical Sales Manager will drive nationwide growth for an expanding oil and gas instrumentation business. This is a hands-on sales role for someone who can independently build a pipeline, understand wellsite and production applications, recommend the right instrumentation solution, and bring in technical resources when deeper engineering expertise is needed.

- Build and manage a national pipeline across major U.S. oil and gas basins.
- Prospect consistently through cold outreach, field visits, referrals, LinkedIn, and industry events.
- Evaluate customer applications and recommend appropriate instrumentation and configurations.
- Conduct discovery around pressure ranges, process connections, hazardous-area requirements, communications protocols, and wired versus wireless applications.
- Present technical solutions through customer meetings, demonstrations, and lunch-and-learns.
- Identify opportunities for wireless instrumentation where remote locations, trenching, or wiring costs create operational challenges.
- Establish field trials and convert successful evaluations into approved vendor status and repeat orders.
- Identify, recruit, and activate distribution partners in underserved territories.
- Partner with distributor sales teams on joint customer calls and business development.
- Qualify opportunities using MEDPICC and maintain accurate CRM activity and pipeline data.
- Provide field intelligence on competitor pricing, product gaps, customer requirements, and emerging applications.
