The Compensation Analyst will support the administration and analysis of enterprise compensation programs, including base pay, incentive compensation, market pricing, and job evaluation. Partnering with Human Resources and business stakeholders, this role analyzes compensation data, evaluates positions, supports pay decisions, and helps ensure compensation practices remain competitive, accurate, and compliant across a large organization.
Responsibilities
- Administer recurring compensation processes for base pay, incentive compensation, market pricing, job evaluation, and compensation data maintenance.
- Review pay adjustments, promotions, job changes, incentive plan updates, and awards for accuracy and alignment with compensation guidelines.
- Analyze compensation market data and support internal and external salary studies using approved survey and reporting tools.
- Evaluate new and revised positions using market pricing, job slotting, and internal comparison methodologies.
- Prepare compensation analyses, supporting documentation, and preliminary recommendations for review.
- Research and respond to compensation data requests from Legal, Regulatory, Finance, Accounting, and other business functions.
- Provide analytical support to HR and business partners regarding position changes, job titles, and compensation questions.
- Maintain compensation and job-related information within SAP, including personnel and position changes.
- Support compliance with compensation regulations, including the Fair Labor Standards Act and Equal Pay Act.
- Administer employee recognition program activities, data maintenance, and related inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Finance, or a related field required.
- At least 2 years of professional compensation administration experience.
- Experience with base salary administration, market surveys, and job pricing methodologies.
- Experience performing job evaluations and analyzing internal and external compensation data.
- Knowledge of variable and incentive compensation program administration.
- Working knowledge of compensation-related regulatory requirements, including FLSA and the Equal Pay Act.
- Experience processing or maintaining compensation and position data within HRIS platforms; SAP experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and compensation reporting or analytical tools.
- Experience supporting HR and business partners with compensation analyses and recommendations.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation through WorldatWork is preferred.
