Responsibilities:
- Utilize expertise in timekeeping systems to manage and maintain accurate records of employee attendance and hours worked.
- Process high volume payroll accurately and efficiently within Texas, adhering to state-specific regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll information and handle sensitive data with integrity and professionalism.
- Utilize the JD Edwards system for payroll processing, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and documented.
- Generate reports and provide payroll-related analytics to support decision-making processes.
- Assist with payroll tax calculations, deductions, and withholdings as required.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation and industry best practices to ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration, with a focus on timekeeping processes. Previous experience in the construction industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in JD Edwards is required, with the ability to navigate the system efficiently.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
- Experience with high volume payroll processing is essential, preferably within the state of Texas.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain precise records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, particularly in Texas, is preferred.
- Must be able to work 100% onsite initially with the opportunity for temp-to-hire.
