Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Financial Reporting Analyst for our esteemed client in Houston, Texas. Join a dynamic team at the forefront of financial reporting, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting various accounting functions and ensuring compliance with SEC regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy statement, Section 16, and other SEC filings utilizing Workiva Wdesk, including schedules to support financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and other disclosures. Manage the internal and external review for these documents.
- Create and maintain the SEC calendar to inform parties of necessary deadline adherence for financial close, internal control testing, BOD packages, press/earnings releases, and 10-Q/K.
- Draft earnings release tables and validate front narratives in coordination with investor relations and financial planning teams.
- Research new and proposed SEC rules and regulations and assess preliminary impact.
- Manage requests and inquiries from external auditors.
- Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures including preparation of accounting memos and SOX documentation.
- Perform research of identified reporting and accounting issues, prepare technical memorandums, and advise management accordingly.
- Assist with analysis required by any SEC regulations and special projects, including annual budgets and forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of accounting or finance experience, preferably with public accounting experience.
- Current possession of or working towards a CPA is preferred.
- Experience with financial reporting software (Workiva Wdesk, Toppan Merrill, etc.) is preferred.
- SOX and internal control experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting and SEC rules and regulations.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and social skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
