The Payroll Coordinator will support accurate and timely timekeeping administration across a growing utility workforce. Working closely with Payroll leadership, employees, and supervisors, this role monitors daily time entry, maintains employee time records, resolves routine discrepancies, and ensures timekeeping data is complete and ready for payroll processing. Responsibilities
- Monitor employee time entry daily to ensure hours are submitted accurately and on schedule.
- Enter employee hours, timecard corrections, and pay code adjustments within the timekeeping system.
- Review timecards for missing punches, unapproved time, incomplete entries, and other discrepancies.
- Follow up with supervisors to resolve outstanding timekeeping issues before payroll deadlines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of timekeeping corrections, changes, and supporting records.
- Assist employees and supervisors with timekeeping system navigation and procedural questions.
- Escalate complex payroll discrepancies, policy questions, and pay issues to Payroll leadership.
- Support payroll processing by ensuring timekeeping data is finalized within established deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll, timekeeping, and personnel information.
- Provide additional administrative and clerical support related to payroll and timekeeping operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0–1 year of experience in timekeeping, payroll support, administrative support, or a related function.
- Basic knowledge of timekeeping practices and employee time entry processes.
- Familiarity with SAP, Workday, PrismHR, ADP, or a similar payroll or timekeeping system preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience performing accurate, high-volume data entry is preferred.
- Ability to follow established payroll procedures and meet recurring processing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing employee time records.
- Ability to maintain confidential payroll and employee information.
- Strong organizational skills for managing timekeeping records, corrections, and deadlines.
