The Cloud Solutions Architect will help design and guide enterprise-wide technology solutions across a complex cloud and infrastructure environment. This high-visibility role will combine hands-on architecture work with technical planning and leadership, ensuring solutions meet current requirements while supporting future integrations and cross-functional needs.
Responsibilities
- Design enterprise architecture spanning software, hardware, communications, cloud platforms, integrations, and external interfaces.
- Develop architecture solutions that address current requirements and future-state technology needs.
- Drive technical planning and solution development across software and infrastructure initiatives.
- Ensure technology solutions align with established enterprise architecture standards and operating environments.
- Evaluate workflows, systems, and technical requirements to identify appropriate architecture solutions.
- Analyze technical alternatives and present recommendations to technical leads and stakeholders.
- Author and manage software and solution architecture designs.
- Evaluate technology vendors and justify technical recommendations.
- Support integrations between cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and external interfaces.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring related to software engineering design, development, and frameworks.
- Apply architecture concepts, processes, and standards across technical assignments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- 2–4 years of relevant technology experience, including enterprise or cloud architecture exposure.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) required.
- Experience with broad technology delivery across cloud, software, infrastructure, integrations, or communications.
- Experience contributing to technical architecture, solution design, or technology planning.
- Experience evaluating technical alternatives and developing technical recommendations.
- Experience with custom software development and development frameworks.
- Experience with AWS and/or Aura preferred.
- TOGAF knowledge or certification preferred.
- MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to work onsite in Houston Monday through Thursday, with Friday remote.
