The Client Support Analyst will serve as a key post-deal liaison supporting brokers, channel partners, and sales teams throughout the customer lifecycle. Based in Downtown Houston, this role combines client support with operational analysis, research, and problem-solving to resolve enrollment, billing, commission, and account issues. The analyst will also use data and reporting tools to identify trends, support business decisions, and improve processes across retail energy operations.
Responsibilities

Support brokers, channel partners, and sales teams with post-deal customer and operational inquiries.

Research and resolve enrollment rejections, billing issues, early drops, commissions, tax exemptions, regulatory complaints, and account exceptions.

Manage inquiries through resolution while meeting established service-level agreements and communicating status updates to stakeholders.

Analyze operational and financial data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

Collect, organize, and analyze business data using Excel, Power BI, SQL, and related reporting tools.

Develop reports, dashboards, and recommendations supporting business performance and decision-making.

Conduct research and analysis involving customer segments, market activity, demand, location, and growth opportunities.

Support medium-to-large special projects involving process design, operational improvements, and data capabilities.

Partner across Sales and operational teams to navigate customer lifecycle and market-specific requirements.

Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements that strengthen service delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience accepted.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.

2+ years of retail electricity, natural gas operations, or related client support experience preferred.

Experience with post-sale energy processes including enrollments, billing, drops, commissions, and account exceptions preferred.

Experience supporting energy brokers, channel partners, or sales teams preferred.

Knowledge of deregulated energy markets and customer lifecycle processes preferred.

Experience conducting operational research, issue resolution, and SLA management.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Experience with Power BI, SQL, data analysis, or business reporting preferred.

Financial and operational analysis experience preferred.
