Primary Services is looking for an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support a prestigious client in the energy industry. This opportunity offers the chance to work with a large, well-established organization, partnering with procurement professionals and business stakeholders to execute strategic sourcing initiatives, manage supplier engagements, and strengthen procurement operations. The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will play a key role in supporting sourcing strategies, contract administration, and data-driven procurement decisions.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of request for proposal (RFP) processes.
- Perform procurement analytics and prepare reports to support sourcing decisions.
- Draft, review, and coordinate contract documentation throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Execute operational procurement activities and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to support procurement objectives.
- Maintain procurement records, documentation, and sourcing files.
- Monitor sourcing activities to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate multiple procurement projects while meeting established deadlines.
- Provide support for additional sourcing and procurement initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience supporting strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of request for proposal (RFP) processes and supplier sourcing activities.
- Experience with contract drafting, contract administration, or contract lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and procurement reporting tools.
- Experience using ERP, procurement, or supply chain management systems.
- Ability to perform procurement analytics and interpret sourcing data.
- Knowledge of operational services procurement, materials procurement, or both is preferred.
- Experience supporting procurement activities within a utility, energy, infrastructure, or other regulated industry is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
