Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Retail Energy Billing Specialist to support a large, established organization in the retail energy sector. This role plays a critical part in managing billing and account activities for business, commercial, industrial, national, and government customers. The Retail Energy Billing Specialist will work closely with internal departments and external vendor partners to resolve issues, process transactions, and maintain accurate financial and customer records within a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with account inquiries, billing questions, and enrollment requests.
- Provide full account management support across business, commercial, industrial, national, and government customer segments.
- Process customer claims, contractor invoices, and fulfillment requests in accordance with established policies.
- Resolve customer complaints while ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to address billing discrepancies and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account records within CRM and billing systems.
- Support customer accounting, revenue recovery, and related financial operations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal stakeholders across multiple channels.
- Participate in required training and development programs related to customer service and billing operations.
- Work assigned shifts, which may include evenings and weekends based on business needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, sales, claims processing, customer accounting, or revenue recovery.
- Proficiency with CRM software and standard computer applications.
- Experience handling billing, account management, or financial transactions for commercial or regulated customers.
- Familiarity with compliance-driven environments and adherence to documented policies and procedures.
