Our Overhead Garage Door Client is looking for a Hybrid, Direct Hire Business Development Manager (Spring Office, Territory Houston & Austin) You will be responsible for expanding the company’s market presence in both residential and commercial sectors. You will focus on building relationships with custom and production home builders, as well as networking with residential and commercial clients.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the single-family construction sector.
- Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with builders, contractors, and developers to understand their needs.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's garage door products to effectively communicate benefits.
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement sales strategies to target builders and commercial customers and expand market share.
- Market Research: Conduct market analyses to identify trends and customer preferences.
- Proposal Preparation: Develop accurate and competitive proposals and quotations highlighting unique selling propositions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams for seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries promptly.
- Sales Reporting: Keep detailed records of sales activities and provided regular updates to management.
- Networking: Participate in industry events and networking to promote and build connections.
- Training and Development: Engage in continuous training to stay aligned with company goals.
- Team building: an expert on building, training, and leading sales teams
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in sales within the new construction industry, particularly in building materials or trades such as roofing, flooring, windows, or plumbing.
- Industry Expertise – In-depth knowledge of the single-family production and custom home builders industry, including service and construction operations.
- Quoting & Estimating – Strong ability to generate accurate bids and estimates for new business opportunities.
- Deal Closure – Expertise in closing deals and contract negotiations to secure profitable projects.
- Business Development – Track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships. Team building: an expert on building, training and leading sales team
- Sales Strategy – Skilled in developing and executing effective sales plans to drive revenue growth.
- Negotiation Skills – Strong ability to build trust, negotiate contracts, and create win-win agreements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience in B2B sales, specializing in custom homes and production single-family builders
- Strong communication, presentation, and CRM proficiency.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
